Reminder: Next Public Affairs Council Meeting Sept. 21st!
Members are reminded that LeadingAge NY will be hosting our September Public Affairs Council meeting this Thurs., Sept. 21st at 3 p.m. During this month’s meeting, the Council will begin to prepare for the next wave of public relations (PR) messaging and member resources and discuss the development of 2024 policy priorities and advocacy plans.
As has been discussed at previous Public Affairs Council meetings and other forums, the focus of the Council's work changes as we progress through the year and different phases of the state legislative cycle. The September/October discussion will be focused on our ongoing coordinated PR campaign and how it sets the stage for our "pre-budget" advocacy, which will be in full force by November. We continue to seek feedback from members on the PR and advocacy resources that have been created thus far, and any additional messages or tools that we can provide. The Public Affairs Council is a prime opportunity for members to weigh in, and we use your feedback to refine and capitalize on our work together.
