LeadingAge NY Comments on Transition Plan for HCBS Settings Rule
The Department of Health (DOH) posted the revised HCBS Statewide Transition plan for public comment. The transition plan outlines how the State intends to come into compliance with the federal rule over the next five years. LeadingAge NY has been monitoring this issue closely, as it is likely to have broad impact on those receiving Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) under a Medicaid waiver, including managed long term care.
LeadingAge New York provided DOH with comments on the plan, with recommendations on all member service areas impacted by the rule; click here to view. DOH will continue to accept comments until March 11, 2015, at OLTCDHCBS@nyhealth.gov; should members want to comment individually. DOH will review all comments and submit a final plan to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by Tues., March 17, 2015.
