ACFs Should Be Ready for Jan 1. CHRC Requirement
The Department of Health (DOH) issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) providing more details about the implementation of the new Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) requirement for direct care employees working in Adult Care Facilities (ACFs). The requirement is effective Jan. 1, 2015. DOH scheduled two webinars that occurred earlier in December to inform providers of the change. Our hope is that you participated in one of the webinars, and were able to pose questions to the DOH staff. In addition, we strongly encourage members to review the DAL outlines several steps that should be taken now in order to be prepared for this requirement, including information regarding reimbursement for the CHRC.
